What is your passion(s)?
My passion is photography. I love going out and capturing moments that I can always look back on. To me, a picture is a way to keep memories forever. Sometimes with everything going on in life its easy to forget the little things, but as long as you have that image you’ll never lose that memory or feeling you had in that moment in time.
How did you get started?
I got started in photography about 2 or 3 years ago, but I’ve only just start defining my style of photography. My mom has always taken pictures of every event we have ever been to, and at some point I think I realized she was capturing those moments to hold on to forever and I found that to be really awesome. That’s definitely what pushes me to keep getting content!
If you could sit down with one person, living or dead, and ask them one question, who would it be and what would you ask them?
One of my biggest inspirations is Jordan Taylor Wright, @Taylorcutfilms. Its super ironic though because even though I love his work I don’t just look up to him for those reasons. I’ve watched a number of interviews with him and he has a great perspective on life in general. I’m really looking forward to his book release. If I got the chance i would definitely ask him how he stays so centered and grounded through all his hard work. It’s easy to get super stressed and he seems to manage that really well.
Imagine you are now 90 years old. You have accomplished all of your goals – experienced everything you wanted to experience. Looking back at your life and all that you’ve achieved; what are you most proud of?
If my life goes according to plan, I will always be most proud of the fact that I never lived the “what if” life. Even if I go for something and it turns out horrible, at least I’ll have gotten a great story out of it!
If money were no object, what would you spend your life doing?
If money were no object, I would spend my life traveling and telling stories of each place I visit. Definitely a pretty basic answer, but I think it is super important to get to know and understand different cultures around the world.
Over the last six months, when have you felt most alive and electrified? What were you doing?
One of the most insane feelings I’ve gotten to experience was cliff jumping in Malibu. I’ve got a pretty big fear of heights, but being able to conquer it and have fun while facing a fear was awesome.
If you had 30 seconds on a radio that would be broadcasted to the entire world, what one important message would you put out, and why?
If I had 30 seconds to broadcast any message I would tell people to be more open minded. I think the biggest problem today is that people have tunnel vision. They can’t see past their own thoughts and it creates unneeded hate or judgement. Everyone is their own person and were all just trying to live!
What does it mean to you to Thrive?
To thrive means to live how you want. Are you thriving or are you just alive? Too many people let life pass them by for all the wrong reasons and they realize it too late. It’s important to live a life you want, how you want. One of my favorite quotes by @TaylorCutFilms is, “One day your life will flash before your eyes, make sure it’s worth watching.” Everyone should try and Thrive!
