What is your passion(s)?
My passions are visual storytelling, soccer and offroad motorsports..
How did you get started?
I took a video network class in high for three years. It never really captured my interest till about 3 years out of high school. Then in late 2016 I bought my first camera, and started shooting what interested me.
If you could sit down with one person, living or dead, and ask them one question, who would it be and what would you ask them?
I would sit down with Steve Irwin. I would ask him how he was able to constantly, and without doubt, pour as much passion as he did into the things he did every single day.
Imagine you are now 90 years old. You have accomplished all of your goals – experienced everything you wanted to experience. Looking back at your life and all that you’ve achieved; what are you most proud of?
I would be enormously proud in being able to say that I lived my life on my terms. Being able to do what I want, when I want, and not being questioned for it is something I’m constantly after. I feel like this is lead by a creative mindset.
Look at your daily life…if you were to not change a thing, and do the same thing you’ve been doing for the next 5-10 years, would you become the person you want to become? If not, what would you have to do differently to build the habits necessary to become that person?
No I would not. There are still days when I’m lazier than I should be. There are still times when I haven’t given something my absolute 100%. Now if you were to ask me this same question in six months and nothing has changed then I would be disappointed. I’m learning things as I go. I’m dealing with creative blocks, and I’m trying to figure out the best direction for me and where I want to go with my craft. And to do that, you need to be changing and trying new things constantly.
If money were no object, what would you spend your life doing?
Traveling and meeting new people. Helping those people that I met, and listening to their stories. Money isn’t everything to me, but if it were no object, I’d do my best to help progress humanity.
Over the last six months, when have you felt most alive and electrified? What were you doing?
Two times. In November, I was in Iceland, and every time I saw something new, it was incredible. The landscapes and the sheer size of what I saw was hard to comprehend. The second time was January 4th. I walked up to the edge of Horseshoe Bend. I absolutely hate heights, but while I was walking up I felt peace. I felt fear but in a calming way and it made me feel alive.
If you had 30 seconds on a radio that would be broadcasted to the entire world, what one important message would you put out, and why?
Don’t chase money. Chase what makes you feel alive. Chase what makes you happy. Chase what you dream about, what you think of when you picture yourself happy. Money can always be made, but time can’t.
What does it mean to you to Thrive?
Thrive is facing a fear. Its capturing something that you didn’t think was possible before. It’s about chasing new things in life. The things that make you happy.
